We had a recent cold spell with high winds. Last night, well before dark the deer started to hit my soybean field. That is not unusual but the amount of deer is well above normal. By the time it was dark there were 22 deer out there but only 1 small buck.

Normally I have 8-10 does and 4-6 bucks that hang out in my area. My standing beans brings deer in from all over. Last year my record was 40 at one time. I often wonder how all the non resident deer find out about it.

Ever find any sheds in the beans?

I've noticed it too. Had 7 does and a 10 pointer in my small soybean plot near the house. Was fun to watch them eat the pumpkins we thew out.

Yes, I found 2 sheds in the beans last year. I look real hard for them in there so I don't wreck a tractor tire.

I shot 3 coyotes out of there last winter/spring. I really can't put out bait for them as my dogs would eat it.

My dad was notorious for finding sheds with tractor tires... and like father like son. I found one three years ago using the tractor tire method.

Yeah, that's gotta suck. I came close last year while tilling. I didn't see it the first time around when I was mowing. It would be a giant pita for me with fluid in all 4 tires.
