    What a shame.

Ya know- I was hesitant to wear one of those harnesses. Given my experiences in different capacities within the military and rescue, I'm extremely confident at heights and was stubborn in regards to safety while hunting.

It wasn't until after a near fall that I invested in a harness(also because I wanted my younger bro to wear one. Lead by example).

Now, I hate being in a tree without one. There are plenty of different harnesses available. You'll find one that you're comfortable with, and, you'll get used to it in no time.

Wear your harness- go home to your family after the hunt !!

    No Doubt - Buckle Up!!!

(although 65yr old, and only 16ft up...this could easily have been heart attack or stroke...but family will never know)

I wear mine every single time. I used to climb trees and hunt with my belt tied to a tree limb! What a moron I was.....

What a shame, I need to invest in a more comfortable one. I always use the free ones they give me when I buy a new lock-on. Better to have an uncomfortable one than to not have one at all

    Great reminder Greg.

I'm never in a tree stand without mine. It's just not worth it.

When I was hanging my stand yesterday I had my linemans belt around the tree and a gust of wind came through and blew a limb down.It fell right across my back and even gave me a glancing blow to the head. This could have very easily been a VERY bad situation had I not had my belt on.

Right now in Ky we have alot of limbs falling due to the ice storms over the winter.
