:eek: Yep about once a year for some reason it happens. Dragged my aching body out of bed this morning. Headed out to the great outdoors in a snow storm. Got to my stand, climbed up and settled in. Went to nock an arrow and.............. NO QUIVER!

I decided to do some shooting from my back deck yesterday in my tundra hunting gear to make sure I was good to go. I took my quiver off and set it on the table. Got done practicing and put my bow in the case. Grabbed my bow this morning headed to the woods and my quiver with arrows was sitting on the table . Figured my chances weren't very good at killing something so I packed it in.

You could always throw your bow at him!:D

Never had that happen, but I have forgotten my release once. (I do carry a backup);)

LOL I've had similar brain-farts. Sucks not having a quiver ... or a release.

Earlier this year I drove up to the cabin for an evening sit. When I opened the back of my truck to get my clothes and bow out, none of it was there. Still in the garage.

Been there, done that. Another time I grabbed the wrong gun case as I headed out for ML season. Got out of the truck and noticed I grabbed the 10/22. That was a humbling moment.:o Drove home, made the switch and headed out with the correct weapon.;)

Ouch! I've forgotten a lot of stuff...but not arrows. Not yet. Ugh! now I've jinxed myself.

We were in a hurry one time and threw all the stuff in the truck, hooked up the boat and took off. About 5 miles down the road C asked, "Did you put the bows in the truck?" Unfortunately the answer was "No!".

I forgot my release once and didn't realize it until i had already walked 1/4 mile back to my stand in the knee deep snow. It was terrible.

Never forgot any bowhunting stuff, but I was going on a goose hunt a few years ago and got a few miles down the road and realized I had left my shotgun at home! So I know how you feel!!

I had to start carrying a backup release too. I stalked within 50 yards of an antelope and was trying to clip my release on the loop before I realized I wasn't wearing it. Not a good day. I was contemplating the power a rock would have that day but then I remembered I throw like a girl so figured it wouldn't have the desired effect haha :)

Well I hate to '1 up' ya, but I'm gonna. I put all my garb on and hopped on the 4 wheeler for the 5 minute ride. I got to the property, hopped off the bike, strapped my treestand to my back and reached for my bow.

Uhhhhh....yeah.......I left it at the house. D'OH!

I think I could take the idiot cake with this one: We went fishing and when I picked up my buddy I realized I forgot my tackle so we went and bought a bunch of new panther martins. We get to the lake and I realize I forgot the rods. Had the reels but no rods. I had my bowfishing stuff but we weren't in an area with carp so we started shooting at ducks. Reeling in a mud duck with an arrow in it was definitely not what we had planned but it was pretty sweet

We have forgotten our fish barrels a few too many times. The boat is a pontoon boat so there's nowhere to put the fish.

I once forgot my quiver but I was only 5 minutes from home when I realized it.

The first time I went turkey hunting I was walking to a spot to look for turkey sign when a giant gobbler strolled out right in front of me at 20 yards. I aimed at his head with my little 20 gauge topper H&R single shot shotgun. I shot and the turkey just kept on walking, unscathed. I popped the spent shell out and dug around despertately in my pockets for another one... to no avail. I only brought one shotshell.

Will was here last year.....and we'd just gotten down the hill from the house and crossed into the pasture to head towards our stand sites when I realized "it".

"I'll be back in a minute, buddy".
    "Whaddya forget"?
    "My bow".

The very reason I carry backup everything in my truck and in my pack. Went goose hunting without my goose gun once last year - sat and called for my partner. SUX!!!

Now, Jes, you didn't say any bad words in your tree stand did you?

    LOL.

Sometimes I think I'd forget the jewels if God hadn't given me a little sack to carry them around in!
