Easton bloodlines 330, 28.75", 100gr field points/100gr swhackers. 3 vane fletch at 6 degree helical. Nets out to around 450gr If I remember correctly.
Always have a back up bow, I have two back ups at all times, couldn't imagine not being able to shoot for a couple days... I would go nuts.
Sorry to hear about that, the same thing happened to my dad's bow so that's why he ordered a new one. Hopefully you get it fixed soon! I wonder what could have caused that if you're very careful with your bow...
Unless you're shooting a brass insert that arrow is nowhere near 450 with those specs. It's sub 400 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I shoot Easton FMJ 340's with 100 grain tips, blazer vanes, and my scale says 484 grains. Does that sound off?
cawwwrin the FMJ is a heavier arrow then the Bloodline is. The 340/330 numbers are the respective spines for each arrow.
Oh okay thanks, I was just wondering if my scale was off because they're way heavier than some of my other arrows.
Definitely not over 400gr I believe those arrows are about 9.8 gr per in max That would put u at about 390 total I am a true believer in a heavier arrow I shoot 70lbs at 29" draw and a 485 gr arrow
Bummer man. Like Max said your arrow is not 450. I have some 330 Bloodlines cut 27" with 50 grain brass inserts and 125 grain heads and they are 424.
Your arrow comes out around 360 hrs, not including glue and no brass insert. Shaft is 8.7 grns/inch =250.125 100 grns head About 9grns total for 3 vanes give or take 359.125 Can't remember what weight your shooting, but at 7 grns per pound shooting 60 pounds you need to be at 420 grns minimum arrow weight.
Thank you everybody for your positive posts! I am heading back home from my archery shop. As soon as I showed the guy the crack in the limb. He said "oh that's easy. We will have limbs here for you in a week. No charge for parts or labor." So next weekend I will have my bow fixed. He also said that it was very minor, and if I wanted. I could still shoot it. I just need to keep an eye on it and if it gets any bigger to stop. He told me this crack developed over time. I can't believe I never saw it before. I clean my bow and wax my strings religiously!
If you have never had a bow come apart/blow up at full draw...... well keep on shooting. I guarantee that it will pucker you up good! Sounds like a gun going off, there are parts flying everywhere and your arm is back somewhere behind you! Myself, I wouldn't care what the bow shop said. A cracked/de-laminating limb is like have a stick of dynamite in one hand and a box of matches in the other and you know that "things do happen!" Just my humble opinion, laced with a few bad experiences. That is exactly why I "NEED" to always have a back up bow (or three) in case something happens.
The first time I had a limb delaminated. It was at full draw. I know. I am hesitant to shoot it for that reason. I'll probobly be waiting. Depending on how many beers I have tonight I guess. Haha j/k...
yep yep. even if my bow was down. We would still be going. At this point i dont think ill be filling my bobcat tag this year
