i work out of my house, i made an office by finshing an attic space above my attached garage. I get great wifi next to my office but once i go in it drops a lot. I do everything via internet, my phone is through my computer, i have skype meetings regularly rtc.

i need to find a way to get better internet, i cant move my modem and router closer, modemand router are newer and not the cheapo ones. I currently have a wifi booster and it is getting me speeds as high as 15 at times, but the rest of the house is 60-100.

does ethernet over coax work? Maybe another strong router close to office would be better than little booster?

Drop the wireless and route Cat6. Given you WFH, and use Skype, VoIP, and others, you're best served with a physical LAN connection. You can run Cat6 for about 100 meters (~325ft) and not get much degredation out of it.

Yep and come out cheaper than purchasing more boosters, routers. More reliability and more secure as well. I work from home too and prefer more and steadier bandwidth.
