I have not been able to hunt much in the past 3 years (as some of you know). I have not been bow hunting in 2 years. I have only been on a rifle hunt a handful of times. I've killed 1 deer in 3 years. It has been rough. This weekend, however, I was able to get out and bow hunt. Twice. And it was glorious. I did not put anything on the ground, I did not even see anything, but that did not stop the fever from taking me over once again. I found a new spot walking out yesterday morning, and it has my heart pumping for this weekend. It is all I can think about. I'm checking to see how many vacation days I have left. I'm staring at aerials instead of working. My mind is all things bow hunting at the moment. It feels good to be back.
I have to stay home and hand out candy tonight but I just started my month long vaca so its so on, oh man I need to be in a tree stand.
I hope, no I want, you to kill a deer with a bow. It would blow my mind. Bizarro Hooker. And I'm always a fan of the use of the word "glorious".
Good luck!! I know how hard it is to miss a couple of seasons. So I'm expecting to see picks of a deer on the ground.
Welcome back! Its kind of weird seeing Hooker as the person starting a thread outside of the water cooler
