The only reason Israel doesn't hate us like the rest of their neighboring countries is because without the U.S. There would be no Israel. They would have been wiped off the map decades ago.

Which is kind of my point. Israel would live in peace if the other side would as well.

I have mixed feelings about US involvement. I wish we'd leave the Middle East alone entirely, there has been fighting there for 1000s of years and probably will for 1000s more. They are born into violence and hate and raised by it, you can't really expect that to change. On the other hand, if we cut off Israel ties it's basically a death sentence to their entire population.

What happens when you come in, bulldoze the dog's house and run him off so your own dog can have his house there and live there?

Wouldn't anyone be our friend if we gave them over 8 million a day, everyday? Why do they deserve billions from us? I have never even heard an average answer let alone a good one.

Does it really cost 3 billion to have someone vote the same as us and buy our guns? How about give them 1 1/2 billion and the palestinians 1 1/2 billion and tell them to quit ****ing shooting each other or fend for yourselves.

Should we care when we can not even control Chicago for one weekend?

Ok. I am walking away from this one. Damn you Dan. ;)

For the people who disagree with the video, can you tell me how it's historically inaccurate?

Do you think there would the same issue with a group of muslems with like minded religous beliefs being relocated there?

The land is but one part of the equation.

The link I provided goes into specifics that the video left out.

That doesn't even come close to answering the question. I'm very curious.

We actually have allies over there none who support us but not as much as israel. However, Israel kind of gets what #1 or #2 in our foreign aid? They kind of have to support us. Personally I stand with Israel, from what I read and researched, both sides have definitely committed atrocities and should apologize to eachother. Don't know who threw the first rock, but it doesn't matter this late in the game of which came first, the chicken or the egg.

They hate each other now, for good reason on both sides. If I were Palestinian I'd hate the Israel's for what they'd done and vice versa. But you know, Palestine is run by a terrorist organization and resort to terroristic attacks. They remind me of kids who throw rocks at policemen and expect not to get beat (this actually happens over there). It simply pisses me off. Palestine doesn't support us, Israel does. If I had to choose, I'd say Palestine goes.

Just watched that video. Definitely skewed one way that I don't agree with
"Popular protest" is the method they take nowadays, yea right. The Israeli have not been able to do what they want, they're under international scrutiny and look like occupiers while Palestinians look like they're being repressed, so it's OK for them to throw stones and kill israelis. Palestinians may have been living there before Israel moved in, but they weren't their own nation before. The reason why there wasn't equality and Palestinians are second class citizens is because early on they were assassinating and killing jews trying to kick them out of "their land".

I don't know if this is the show that talks about how the us went to saudi and discussed relocating the jews after ww2 but I watched a few minutes and it seemed pretty interesting.

Well of course they support us - we give them money and weapons. It's easy to have friends when you buy them.

True, Hamas is certainly a terrorist organization. However after decades of fighting back against a foe you cannot beat due to sheer numbers what other choice do they have?

I think most Americans feel this way, and it's easy to do so because so many Palestinians hate America due to our support of Israel.

Does nobody else find it interesting that the US was the only member of the UN to vote against looking into possible war crimes by the Israelis? Historically Israelis have killed something like 30 Palestinians for every Israeli killed in this battle. Yet all we hear is how Hamas and the Palestinians are the terrorists.

I'm not saying the Palestinians are innocent in all of this, but far too often I feel like all we ever hear is skewed facts and reports that paint Israel as the victim, which clearly isn't accurate.

True because that land was part of the Ottoman Empire at the time. When that dissolved after WW1 the UN decided to take that land and give it to the Jews to form Israel. Right or wrong it's what happened, and you can understand why the Palestinians weren't happy about it.

Not really - the reason they're second class citizens is simply because they lost the war. If they had won it would certainly be the other way around.

I'm with you justin but all the reverse remains true for palestinians. Israel is not always the victim but the Palestinians are not either, they use human shields and use factories as cover for their organization and then try to paint Israel as bad people when they were simply taking out a strategic legitimate target. Palestinians then spin that on the media and act like victims.

And there are other ways than terrorist ways, you don't need to terrorize the civilians, you can fight the military.
