I wish the I40s took better pics at night, but is this what I think it is? I don't think its broken off. The earliest I've ever had pics of a buck that had shed is December 8th. What say you?

I saw one up in the Adirondacks today that I swear was a buck but had no horns. Had a thick neck, chest was deeper than the rear end, track was significantly longer than a .270 shell, etc. It only got to about 50 yards or so though, so I wasn't able to really get a good enough look to confirm if he had dropped. Also saw a really nice 130ish buck today that still had horns that I would have loved to have shot, but I only had a bear tag....... :bash:

we had early sheds here two seasons ago. two bucks that I know of taken during muzzle loader season that year, one had lost it's horns, another lost it's horns on the drag to the truck.
    I guess it's possible.

Deer have antlers, not horns. ;)

And yes, it sure likes like he shed to me, although it's hard to say for sure with the killer quality of the I40 IR pictures.
