Simple question... Is this the same deer? I know it is a few months apart, but someone killed an albino on the adjoining property and I am 99% sure it's the one I have on cam.

I've had numerous people tell me different... I've been told the one that was killed is a "White" deer since it does not have a pink nose.

Uneducated opinion here but I'd agree that they are two different deer. It does look to me that the harvested animal is just white while the on the hoof pic is an albino with pink nose, eyes and ears. The racks look totally different as well, the albino looks like could have had at least one fork develop this year.

My simple answer is, same deer. Very cool! Those pics were taken with two very different cameras. Just saying.

The nose is only pink around Christmas.

Looks like the same deer. It confusing because the top looks like a true albino with the pink skin. but they are so similar body wise that I would be shocked if you had identical twin piebalds.

I'd say same, he wasnt going to put on a lot more after July 31 and the July pic would have been his very short summer coat making him look quite a bit different.

One slight difference that I didn't see initially, is that the buck in the trail cam pic has uneven spike length, the buck being held has even spikes. Tough to tell from the pics.

My buddy missed an albino doe a few weeks back... The genetics have been around the area for a while.

I'm going with same deer, I think its summer coat in the first pic is making it look different.

The deer in the trail cam pic is an Albino for sure.

That's what I thought with the pink ears but the black eyes is a definitive marking of an all white piebald.

Coat could change skin color under hair but eyes and nose color won't change. Yes, also the spikes on the albino are non-matching.
