Is this the same buck?

    Not exactly easy to tell, but here is the pictures from 2011:

    And here are the pics from 2012 that i think MAY be the same buck, a year old:

    He obviously added some tine length IF its the same buck, and is now what i beleive is a 4.5 year old. Regardless hes a shooter...

    hard to tell the first one looks like it has a crab claw 9pt and the second is just a solid 8

    Sure can be...very hard to tell. I would have expected that crab claw to continue if it was the same but it still could be.

    could be the same but i would have thought that that crab would have continued and he would be a nine pointer.

    I'd say that's definably the same deer.

    Definitely different deer, look at the G2's the bottom one is a bigger deer.

    I agree. No way is it same deer. The more I look at the coloring of the facial features, almost looks like 3 different bucks...

    If it wasn't for the absence of the crabclaw on the second deer, I would say it was the same. But that's a characteristic that I don't think would go away. Definately a nice buck though.

    Hard to say. If not the same deer definitely similar genetics.

    He looks closer to 3.5 to me...

    Opps I didn't catch that. I would say same deer then. The brow tines usually give it away and you can't get a clear look at last years pictures.

    I agree that its hard to determine.
