Let me explain! I took some time away from hunting for a short while a couple years ago. I quit going to the forums and doing anything hunting related. My little stint didn't last long. I started looking around in the forums again (Hunting.net) Only saw a few of the folks I remembered. It was like everyone died. Really.....it felt like walking through a dusty old house looking around for old memories of the way it use to be. I saw lots of new folks there but it just wasn't the same. I finally stumbled on to this site today, thanks to a link Rickmur had at the old site. I come in here it literally felt like walking into Heaven. (well, maybe not Heaven...but you get the picture) I look around and see many familiar names. I see you guys like long lost buddies that passed away. It's kinda weird, let me tell you. Sorry if I seem "out there" with a post like this, but I can't help but to relate how it feels coming here. Very weird feeling, let me tell you!
Windwalker, I'm right there with you. Been wondering where everyone went. Guess I'm really behind on the times, as usual. Chris
Windwalker, a couple weeks ago I was sitting in a tree in Illinois wondering how you were and if you decided to start hunting again. Welcome back.....its good to see you.
Yup, everyone migrated over here quite a while back. I know I came over when the other place started having all their server issues.
I remember you and your personal struggles with your new feelings on hunting WW. Hope all is well with you and yours.
I guess you have time to think about those things when you're not killing any deer. Welcome Windwalker, good to see you again.
haha, I had this exact same "revelation" last year. I used to be on hunting.net all the time. After having kids and my hunting time being limited, I went back there and hardly recognized anyone. I too stumbled upon a link to this place and have been here ever since. Its funny how even though we are all just names on here, scattered across the country, we all feel like hunting buddies or family in so many ways.
