So, which leaf is it circled in the photo? The one on the left or the one on the right?

It's the sycamore leaf (right), that leaf is easily 10" across, meaning that panther is easily 5' long and 30" tall....it's a big black panther...no doubt about it.

Obviously, the one one the right most closely resembles the leaf circled in in the pic. The point of the post was to illustrate that three leaf diameters would cover the length of the cat. What's your point?

It's not classic in regards to insulting other posters. It was a funny comment, I probably should have kept my thoughts to myself. Sorry for the offense it caused.

It's cool. Judging by the amount of recent keyboard sparing going on lately, it seems like there direct relationship between increased testosterone during the rut for both deer and hunters.

Doesn't matter to me if its a panther, a cat, a lab or a chupacabra.

I just can't believe you guys can't see that the all important leaf in question is a maple leaf and not a sycamore leaf.

I don't know if I'd call it sad. It's more like a testament to just how bored we are while we wait for the next chance to get out to hunt.

Sycamore leaves can be from 4 to 8 inches across, with a similar length. The shapes can vary, but sycamore leaves typically possess from three to five lobes, with the lobes separated by shallow sinuses. The "National Audubon Society Field Guide to Trees" notes that the edges are "wavy" and that the leaves have as many as five main veins fanning out from their bases

Shows how little you know! If it was a black panther, it would be hanging out in Philadelphia not out in the woods!……..think about it……..keep going……..I'm sure you can get there……..
