Here is my million dollar invention, going out into the open. NOT, lol.

Why don't someone invent some sort of a shot counter for a bow? There has to be an inexpensive way to invent one of these and integrate it into the bow.

It might be impossible but it just an idea I've had in my head for a while.

    What say ye?

My last idea, was a drop away whisker biscuit of some sort, for those guys on the fence and guess what, they had something very similar at the ATA show last year.

Maybe a modified pace-counter, the shock of release might trip it

that's what I originally thought, but imaine how many times we bump our bows. I dont see that method being THAT accurate

Can I get it in red to match my bow's highlights?

Maybe a string suppressor with a counter in it so when the string hits it counts. Just a thought...

LOL Jeff. Since you went traditional, everything mechanical is frivolous these days huh? I see what you're getting at though.

Nate, that's a great idea, actually.

My thinking is that it can be possible to make such a thing at a low cost. I think it could be a useful tool, like many things. It could help you in your practice sessions, give you an idea when you need to tune your bow, replace strings and cables, and like mentioned above, it could help you when purchasing a used bow (If this was something that was integrated into the bows).

Think of it as an odometer on a car!

True. It's getting beyond workshop tinkering with this, but using the same principle with a more robust design might work. If it's an aftermarket piece, it could be mounted in a spare place on the riser with the sight or rest. Or built in to the riser itself, if the riser has the room for it and remains structurally sound.

Something else that might work would be a string connected to a cable that clicked off each draw.

If they made something like that I would probably buy. I think that's an awesome idea.

Does it matter? No, probably not.

Would it be pretty neat? Yes.

    Could it be useful? Yes.
