I've been noticing that some of the early born buck fawns on my land seem to grow some pretty good buttons. They actually shed their velvet and have hard horn buttons. Anyone else seen this?

    One from last season

One from this year...... a little fawn rivalry. He hasn't shed the velvet yet, but with buttons over an inch, I'm thinking he will.

I've seen one like that, Greg. Last season. His buttons were about 2 inches in length and covered in light blonde velvet in early Nov.

I've seen it once. His body was extremely small and he had little 2 inch devil horn spikes sticking out.

See it from time to time here as well. I would say it is common.

For example, one that is born near the beginning of May vs one that is born toward the end of June.
