Is this big snapper?

    Found this skull in a creek near my house. Boiled and cleaned it off. Don't know of it's a big snapper but seems pretty big to me. It's sitting on a two by 6 for reference.[​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    I would say it's a snapper or alligator snapper

    This is a common snapper skull[​IMG]

    And this is an alligator snapping turtle skull[​IMG]

    Pretty sure it's a common snapper. But is this a large one or relatively average.

    It took me a while to look at this thread, not that large snappers are some thing I spend much time looking for. :(
