I have a "friend" that has not been able to get much hunting time lately and decided to make up some arrows. He chose some pretty "girly" colors.....is this allowed in the trad game?
Whatever lets you see 'em better. Hey....I get beat every 3D tournament by a guy shooting a black, spray-painted bow....with a batman emblem on it. But, so does everyone else.
Jeff I hear you that man...lol. I was just saying was it allowed in the trad game per say b/c the arrows are so girly in appearance. LOL
"Girly"? I wish. The bowyer for hummingbird bows lives kinda near here. His wife will kick your ass in a 3D shoot, and smile doin' it.
Jeff, out of 100 shooters at a 3D trad shoot, I might finish in 100th place. I wanted some brighter arrows so I can see em better.
I know that, Brett. I'm just playin' around. Linda Graham has probably won every national trad. tournament there is at one time or another. Thank GOODNESS they have a "Ladies" div. when we go to our shoots!....lol
Jeff, for the first time in my life I am thinking about maybe entering shooting tournament with my recurve. I think I need competition to make me a better shooter and to keep me actively shooting through the winter months. I also want to go to some of the shoots to just see how everyone else shoots and to potentially try out some new bows.
In May..usually the 3rd weekend...there's a trad-only shoot in Baltimore. It's a 4-day event and they have 3 outstanding courses, vendors, lots and lots of bows to shoot, swap meets, free camping, and alot of great people. It's pretty casual...can't ever remember anybody keeping score but it's a great time. If ya decide to make it,you're more than welcome to shoot with me and my buddies. As far as keeping in tune over the winter, check with your local archery shops. I shoot a winter league on the DART system mid-Jan to early May
Jim, thanks so much. I am planning on attending the Baltimore thing now that I know. I want to shoot a lot of bows and possibly buy one.
