Just make a post titled, "I know everything". Do it a few times a year so we all know.

This is likely the correct answer. One big muley killed in AZ and no others entered would explain it.

Wonder what the map would look like using the forum contest as the base. Could do it year by year or make one with all years combined. Be hard to know where each buck was taken though since location is optional

I know, people were asking where it came from, what data was used. Looks like that group was the source and @Westfinger pointed it out.

Think AZ was purposely cropped out in the OP

Most definitely, and that's just archery kills, imagine what firearms would do to the averages, 54,661 deer killed first firearm season here. Everyone knows firearms kill bigger bucks

Wow…….you really seem upset that the PA ARs were a failure. Why do you care one way or the other? You act like someone is personally insulting you………it’s OK to enjoy hunting in PA and still understand what the data says.

    Why would I be paranoid?

Why would you post an image that even you should know is highly suspect and pretty much controversial in its own right.

Other than what you said in the original post, what in that image depicts the stats you state it does?

Not a damn thing, it takes an image search or research by someone else to even determine it means what you said it does.

Why would you post such and then get defensive when others call it out? Why not just start a thread titled "PA antler restrictions suck and I'll tell you why"

Seems that is the only argument you have had for a thread asking if "Is this accurate".

You're akin to a Rancid Crabtree lite, been a few years since you have "stoked the fire", welcome back

Why won't you tell everyone where you found that "not cropped by you image" and the debate that ensued with it, before posting it here to carry out your I'm better than you mantra...

I have no idea……again, what POSSIBLE reason would there be for me to crop out the state of Arizona?? LOL

Because I wanted to know if it was accurate……like the title says. What’s “controversial” about it?

What stats did I claim the image depicts?

LOL………..what?? An image search to determine it means what I said?? I think you are VERY confused man.

What exactly did I get defensive about?? Again man I think you are not reading or understanding what was said.

I made FIVE statements about the pic…….and all the butt hurt crying came from people about AR’s like someone insulted them personally.

Seriously………you think I cropped out the state of Arizona for some unknown reason and posted it here to secretly start an argument about PA antler restrictions??

    WOW

Of COURSE antler restrictions work! Common sense and any conversation with a hunter from PA will tell you it’s true.

I know many PA hunters and I know many that have gone without a buck because of them. Which means they passed on smaller ones that they would’ve taken, especially towards the end of the season as their freezer was not as full as they would’ve liked it to be.

So Atlas, that should tell you that the smaller bucks that were left would be bigger and older bucks next year. Multiply that by all the hunters that had to let a smaller buck go

common sense would tell you that they work. Just like one buck per Hunter per year, would work even better

As far as everybody else, if you don’t know Atlas, then you don’t realize what he does or at least what he used to do. He creates a post and tries to get as many comments on it as possible. So here’s another add to your thread post count… Merry Christmas!

This will be my one and only post on this thread though, and I only did it because it’s the holiday season and I feel in giving mood. Merry Christmas, Atlas.

I find it ironic that you use the word "bunch" in this post. It suggests that there are a lot of us who share the same thinking regarding Pa antler restrictions. You earlier questioned my use of the word "consensus", which means "a general or majority opinion among a group of people". I believe that's exactly what we have on the subject.

Except barely more than half of PA hunters say the program worked LOL……and you can see from this thread that even when confronted with data showing the program had no effect certain people will still be in denial.

Tony…….arent you from NY?? Please explain how the state of NY came from the SAME starting place and ended up in the SAME place today as PA WITHOUT antler restrictions………and then tell me again how they worked LOL.

I guess NY just shares a border with PA and is statistically very similar but we just got lucky and it’s all just a Christmas miracle!!!
