I just pulled this pic off of my deer cam today. There have been several sightings in our county. This would be the first picture I have seen though. If it is a mountain lion how much will it affect the deer herd? The tail is too short for a mountain lion but the color and look of it is correct for a mountain lion.

Bobcat for sure. Way to small for a mountain lion, also it just looks exactly like a bobcat.

I just heard that there was a female mountain lion and cub confirmed in Leavenworth, KS last week. They have been telling us that we don't have a breading population here, just roaming males looking for territory. They might have to rethink that statement now.

Yeah notice the tail, its a bobcat. We have them here in Va. and I didn't notice any problem with deer numbers even on public land.
