I have it. I am looking to buy this one, since my hoyt reflex does not fit me. It only goes down to a 30in draw and i need a 27in draw.
sorry lol. I actually copied and pasted this from someones craigslist add. someone else is selling the bear encounter. If i can fins a way to modify the cams on my hoyt reflex, to get a 27in draw i would for sure keep the hoyt but if i cant find a solution i will have to look for a new bow and thats why i posted to see if that was a good price for me ti but that bear encounter.
The bear encounter RTS package from Cabelas goes for $299 brand new! Does the warranty carry over if you are not the original buyer? Some companies are like that I am not sure about Bear?
The Encounter is a good bow for the low end price range, easy to adjust and smooth shooter. With the short ATA, makes for moving in and around the trees easy. My only problem with mine is the string stop sits a little too high and rubs the serving. I've had the serving replaced once already just before hunting season. That being said, my concerns would be does the add list what kind of release, arrows (length, lighted nocks, etc), target (condition), and tips (weight)? I think that $450 is reasonable based on what I have put into mine. But I like to haggle a little. I'd offer $400.
