Thats a great price. If you're not used to putting on sights and rests, have them do it and watch what they do, it's too close to deer season to be doing a lot of dialing in, otherwise do it yourself.

I would say the lower price is a loss leader to get you to pay for the setup which will in turn make the store a small profit and make a happy customer. Even though the setup fee is a bit high it's not that unreasonable if it's a reputable shop that does good work you can rely on.

agreed, the price of the bow is discounted so much the $100 set up to get it done right is not a big deal i paid $770 for my bare bow & the gave me discounts on accessories and arrows plus 2 days free on the range. i would say go for it, you will be happy you did in the end!! i love mine!

For the bow that's a great deal, but the extra 100 I'd throw out the door and fix it up myself.

If my wife who just picked a bow this year can set up a bow, you can! :P

Just need an allen wrench and know how to tune. A lot of people like paper tuning their bows as soon as they get them. Buy you a 3-5 pin sight, a rest of choice, and some arrows. Might wanna practice shooting with a stabilizer and see if you thing that would help you. It's not hard to set a bow up.

It's really not all that hard to set it up your self and if you need a guide to help you there is the internet and books. But for the Bow that's a great price. But if you need to have it set up fast and be ready to shoot then I guess watch them do it since the season is pretty much here. Good luck though.

Or take it to another shop and pay them to set it up. Shouldnt be too much. Its pretty easy to set up the bow on your own thho.

Well there went the $100. That's pretty nice of him. I would say you should probably take your business there everytime you need something, even if it's a bit more expensive than somewhere else.

yeah the reason I bought the bow from them was based on the customer service I experienced when I bought my M9.:tu:

Tell that ''pro''shop(not)That if their going to screw you,You want a kiss and protection!!!!!!!
I think Mathews is overpriced and overrated!
I've read on here that new owners should change out ''stock''parts as soon as they buy the bow.
I wonder how much of their bow is made here, and how much is imported''?????
Their LOST CAMO is made in China/Viet Nam......Be American...Buy American....Support u'r local shops!

Bringing your business back should do 2 things, hopefully get more hookups on future purchases and keep a local business...in business!

Thats a good price either way. Setting it up yourself will let you learn alot. I got mine $899 bare and the attachments were about $500. I love my xtreme its my first bow ever but it gets the job done and I wouldn't settle for anything less.
