Is there ever a chance with the wind at your back?

If you dont have the option of multiple stands on one property. But after an hour or so the wind changes and
is blowing at your back for the rest of the day or evening.

Is it worth staying in the stand or is it just a waste?

    Thanks

Hunting is better than not hunting. I've had deer come in from downwind before and not wind me. I think my scent may have been blowing over them.

I do try to play the wind more than I used to. I won't hunt a certain stand if the wind isn't right but I won't necessary get down if it switches.

I have killed a lot of deer with the wind at my back! I really dont believe in all the scent blocker cloths either. My buddy has spent a lot of money on cloths and I hunt the same area with the same results. I shower before every hunt with the green soap and then I use descenting laundry detergent. Other than that I dont use anything else. I have normal camo cloths and it works for me.

If you have limited property, then I would limit how much time I spent hunting there if the wind became poor. In fact, I would limit how much time I spent hunting there even if the wind was good.

I do not wear scent eliminating/reducing clothing. I just make sure my camo is washed in unscented detergent. I also make sure I spray down before entering the woods and once I get settled in the stand. Have shot many deer when the wind has changed up and is not all that great for the particular stand I started out in.

I guess it also depends on hunting pressure, I am fortunate that the woods I hunt has no other hunters mucking up the area. It is a judgement call on your part, you know what the pressure is and how your deer herd reacts.
