A predawn gobble does rank right up there...my favorite outdoor sound is still INTENSE/CLOSE thunder...man that gets me going.

I hope to experience that this fall...and I got a feeling you will be right and that will be my new #1:)

Yep, can't wait. Last year was the first time I've eaten a tag in probably about 10 years, actually it might be the first year I've taken less than 2 birds in 10 years...........and I'm ready for redemption.

I've posted slide shows like this a few times in years past, but this should help to get a few of you guys amped up a bit, these are a few of the birds I've been lucky enough to be a part of over the last 5 or so years. I'm ready for turkeys, fishing open water, and 3D.........cabin fever has really got me right now.

I know it's not the "cool" thing, but I'm not necessarily convinced that I'm gonna carry a bow this year. I've done it successfully in years past, and it's not really anymore exciting for me. I really prefer and get excited running and gunning, and getting setup on hot birds, rather than waiting for them to come to me. :D

i'm so very anxious as this year might be my very first turkey hunt (finances willing)... uncle said he counted 38 birds out on our property a few weeks back... and I've personally seen a flock of about 10 gobblers with nice beards during deer season... should be exciting!!!

Sorry, but as heart pumping as a big ol gobbler sounding off is, an elk bugle crushes it.

I absolutely Love to listen to them gobble! To me that is Fun part of killing a Gobbler just listening to him coming in.

Not sure I'm going to get to Hunt Turkeys this year due to prior commitments, inability to draw a resident tag, etc. etc I will be in Idaho in a couple of weeks

    See Ya then Shed :-)

Caleb, I love it too... but there is ONE sound that is better (in the woods ;) ). A bull elk bugling at daylight in the mountains will literally give you chills...

That's sweet! Hunting Elk when they are bugling is like hunting an 800# to 1000# Turkey. Awesome indeed!
