...then that first gobble on opening morning? The world shuts down when that boss gobbler sounds off for the first time during the season. There is NOTHING better in the woods.

I know we have had a few pre-turkey season threads already, but the truth is this: I live for turkey hunting. Whitetails are great, and a monster buck is the ultimate trophy in the hunting world, but nothing gets me as much as chasing those old toms around the Ohio woods in April.

    Happy hunting boys :D

I'm looking forward to it......for more than one reason. Brett's coming back down.....and cfdjay's planned a trip up here. I'm looking forward to both of their visits.

I "like" turkey hunting. If I was better at it.....I'd probably like it a lot more!

I would have to say Jessica Biel saying, "wanna do it again" would be it, close, but would beat it.

Indeed my friend! I swear I watched the dvd from last year the other day. I almost forgot how funny the commentary was. I'm ready to hear some gobbles.. and feel some warmer weather.

I love hunting turkeys like you guys do but I have to admit there is one sound in the woods that nothing compares to for me personally. The screaming bugle of a big bull elk, I hope all of you get the chance to hunt elk someday if you haven't,... now back to our regular scheduled programming here.... Turkeys.... and yeah that first gobble of the season is pretty darned cool!
