    Exactly, hooker talk is cheap.

My wife teaches speacial ed and when my daughter was in first grade she went to work with my wife. In her reading glass of freshmen everyone got to read a few pages from the book they were reading. My daughter ask if she could read also, so she did. One of the comments from her students was she reads better than us. Sad part it was true, my daughter was at a 4th grade reading level in first grade, her class of freshmen avg 3rd grade level. Now how do you teach the same curriculum and have them learn it as all the other students do, because the law no child left behind states exactly that method. They cannot even read, how as a parent do you let that happen. I don't think a lot of us know what a mess our school system has become. There are pockets where it's fine, but we are in serious trouble.

I'm quite aware of the all the crap teachers have to put up with, from the students, to the parents, to the rules of the state. I know our public education system is horrible, as most states focus solely on standardized test scores, which causes the teachers to just teach the tests. Obviously this is a flawed system.

I'm just hating on teachers and how much they constantly whine about everything.

You mean after you used them to get what you wanted you found them to no longer be useful. Kind of like an old pair of socks. :p

I have negotiated several teachers union contracts. The first one I was on the teachers side of the table and the last few I have been hired to represent school districts, and tax payer advocacy groups. Saying that teachers whine is a understatement. Teachers unions and the contracts they have secured in NY are borderline criminal. We have school taxes that are out of control and yet we constantly are inundated with teachers complaining how little they get in compensation or are they are not appreciated enough. Grow up and stop *****ing. There are hundreds of professions that are as vital as teaches and I am sure many of the people that work at them feel underpaid and under appreciated, the difference being that they don't bombard us with a constant stream of whining.

Ok on that side im going to agree with you. Before teaching i worked at a flooring company purchasing lumber...horrible hours, time away, but great pay. So now in teaching a lot of things burn me up that i hear from fellow teachers. So whining...yep it happens. So now its great hours, more time with my family, not so good pay. So as i said before there are perks each direction.

Are there any other groups of people that you hate based on the vocal minority of some of it's members?
