With practice 3 1/2 minutes. I have a summit climber too, best thing I have ever done is to switch to a hang on, I basically have no limitations as far as trees go now. it took me almost 2 months every day practicing to get that fast though. Safety is always first and at all times I am connected to the tree.

Interesting video. Thanks for posting. I have also seen guys leave the stand on the ground while setting up the sticks and climbing the tree, then attach a tree step or hook into the tree then pull up the stand via rope or cable.

Could you have filmed that video a little farther away or maybe zoomed out farther? Just kidding santiago.

I have had 2 back surgeries and two bicep surgeries and had no issues using a Lone Wolf Assault hang-on and sticks. It took me about 10 minutes because I went slow and didn't use it every time I hunted (I also have a LW handclimber and Sit & Climb wide, I like LW products). If I was coming back the next day or even within a couple of days I would leave the stand and top stick and take the bottom three out with me. Not a total theft deterrent but it worked, the stand was always there. If my goal was to leave the stand all season I would have bought a cheap stand and sticks to leave.

Sorry bro just say this. It's a muddy outdoors harness and lineman's rope. Aka your third hand, absolutely necessary when using LW as run and gun. Don't be me though it's frowned upon to disconnect while climbing.

I have a gorilla harness, although I am going to change to a rock climbing harness eventually. Muddy, summit they all sell different stuff, I just added pouches to mine using 550 cord. I don't like the rope on the back. I think sometimes it gets on the way of things. That's just me. Look at a video from Warren Womack climbing methods for lock on stands. He is a traditional archer. He is good. For the lineman's belt I got a summit lineman's belt although you can use the hunters safety system rope style tree strap as a lineman's belt too. Or you can go to any climbing store and let them know what you wang to do or what kind of project and they can guide you on the right track. You need a good carabiner though. Shooting from a hang on with the bow is way different than with a climber, so you have to practice a lot and get used to it. Go through your set up on how you are going to set up talking your self through it. It is second nature for me and I always do the same. Meaning I get to the tree take my hang on off, against the tree. Why against the tree because it is my work space and I don't want any scent no where else. Even with scent crusher treated clothes I still don't throw anything around just to stay close to the tree, I unhook the top strap, then the bottom and hook up my first stick to the tree from right to left, hook up the second stick to an S Biner that I use on my right side, then the left side, puts the hang on on then grab the last stick and carry it with me. Hook my self the tree and start going up. do the same thing over and over the same exact way and it will pay off during season by not making any noise and setting up fast.

Without a doubt the LW system is the slickest and best. They really have perfected it. I know even here in PA where I hunt, climbers are more than adaquate. However, if you really need to pay attention to the trees you get into with a climber. Most will skyline you. Hangon and sticks allows you to climb into narly trees and get the best cover available.

I just switched to lone wolf last year and I haven't even thought about looking back. I used my summit 2 times on run n gun that trees were straight and tall and I knew I'd have to get up 26-28ft. That's the only situation I will use my climber now over my lonewolf

A mobile lonewolf hang on system is worlds better than a summit climber.
    (For me anyways)
The only advantage the summit has is comfort.
(But I'm there to kill a deer, I can sit in my recliner at home)

A lot of people put comfort as a must when it comes to stands. While I agree your appendages shouldn't go numb and have you squirming around like a worm to keep blood circulating to them, there is a certain advantage a little discomfort can have. Same with temperature comfort. Don't want to be cold but a little chill will keep me awake and alert. If I get too warm and comfy it's Zzzzzzzz

I need to start using my LW sticks and hang on more. I'm so used to using my Summit that I find myself going to that 99% of the time. This year that will change.

The best thing I ever did was buy a LW climber. I hunt 400 acres and have found enough straight trees to go anywhere I want and move anytime I need to depending on the wind and time of day. I don't find it to hard to set up or carry in and I don't need 15 - 30 stands to buy. I scout ahead of season and limb up and clear shooting lanes for fall.

Hey Lastoneout . Just a small pc. of constructive criticism here. While watching you shoot from the tree stand at the end of the video I noticed your punching the hell outa that release. Try squeezing the trigger instead and your groups will greatly improve. I liked your video.

Yes. Quiet and versatile. Love the leveling option for base and seat.

Ok, so thats about how I put up my LW but maybe not as fast and I'm full of sweat by the time I'm seated and ready to hunt. I went with the leverage sticks also so as I'm working I have my weight divided between both legs and not just on one at a time.
