Not that I really care a huge deal but is Lady Gaga a fad or is she here to stay? She sure has some momentum right now. Her music is widely popular right now (if you are into that sort of thing).

I see a lot of similarities between Madonna and her. Is she going to be the third generation Marylin Monroe?

I find this all somewhat interesting even though I am not a fan of her music per say.

There are a lot of similarities between the two when you look at the early career stage. She is using the Madonna playbook and people are buying it hook, line and sinker.

Yeah she really is. I use to not mind her but now it seems she just tries to make the news. Stick to music we have enough drama seekers in the world.

Please don't use Marylin Monroe and this piece of trash in the same sentence. Let's hope to god she is just a fad. I remember one day this spring one of her songs came on and I did a scan on my radio and the next three stations had it on. I seriously contemplated opening my door and rolling to my death on the Dan Ryan expressway. Just as I reached for the door handle the next station it stopped on was "Thunderstruck" It was a close call.

Like it or not... Madonna was the second generation MM. Lady GAGA could be the third. No they are not exactly the same.... but the generation growing up with them was not the same either. Likewise, this generation is not the same as was in the 80's for Madonna.

Keep in mind, many people felt the same as you do about Madonna when she first came out. It will be interesting.

What a waste of space and God given talent. I have no time for people who are outrageous JUST to be outrageous. Put your talents and efforts towards something meaningful, and to me pushing sexuality to the limits is NOT meaningful.

I think it's pretty funny when certain acts, singers, artists, whatever try to be extremely edgy, but their music is just your basic cookie-cutter pop with nothing of substance.

If you want to be different, make better music.

You at least have to give her credit for making it into the biz the old fashioned way by playing/DJ at clubs until she finally got a foot in the door. She wasn’t made in a studio or won any kind of contest. She may be a whack-a-doodle but she’s been striving for a dream of being a musician/entertainer her whole life.

Outrageous or not, anyone with that much success in a relatively short amount of time has done something right.

I actually watched an interview with her a few weeks back and I was kinda impressed. She came off as very intelligent and well spoken. She was very calm and actually sounded like a normal person. When asked about all the wigs and being a little over the top - she just said it was fun.

Don't matter to me what she does. I gaurantee you she's drawing attention from the young croud and probably a few of the older male crowds too.

Like riding a motorcycle on one wheel? I kid, I kid.

Makes no difference to me what she does. At least she writes her own songs, so they say, and can play an instrument. Thats better than a lot of big name singers. If she can make money by being a wacko, good for her.

Not sure I would call riding a motorcycle on one wheel "talent"! Any idiot can do that. But I have tried to make music and as my wife can tell you, that does take talent...talent I apparently don't have:)

I'm pretty sure I would die if I tried that. No, I'm certain I would.
