To start training my 2.5 year old german shepherd to trail blood. I know these dogs are typically not used for this, mostly drug sniffing. If they can sniff out drugs though you would think they could follow a blood trail. He is a very smart dog and listens well, I just don't know if its too late to pick up on this. Anyone have any experience in this??? Or thoughts for that matter.
It is never too late to train a dog to do anything. Give them the proper motivation and instruction and you can teach any dog of any age to do quite a bit.
