Well, yesterday sitting in my stand i saw a good number of deer taking a same trail past my area, However the way my stand is placed i could not get a shot at any of the deer. When i first placed my stand its near a heavy use trail, and i still believe deer take it pretty regularly. But the way they were moving made it look like they had no intentions of heading my way down the trail i thought they would go.

So should i move my stand so i can get a shot at that other trail or keep it where its at and see if it was just one of those days there was no traffic?

Go to wally world or ****s and pick up a hang on and a set of ladder sticks, At most it will cost you 90 bucks. Its all me and my brother use and they aren't too bad for the price.

How many times have you sat this stand? How many times have you seen deer on the other trail?

If this was your first sit, I'd give it another chance before making any decisions. If this was your second sit and saw the same thing, move it.

    Need more info.

I say to get another stand also! Get a lock on or get another ladder! You can never have enough stands!

i would leave it, and like others have stated get another stand and get it up. this only my 2nd year bow hunting and the private property i hunt has 4 stands depending on the wind and what "mood" the deer are in.

I think they are onto you from my experiences...how long has it been there?

Personally I like to get off the trails further than that too...creates a better double-lung scenario;)
