Hey BHOD Nation, I have had one of my trail cams out for a few weeks now and im seeing bucks but all of them are "spikey". I'm just wondering if its too early for bucks to have developed or semi-developed racks?

Check out the regional antler growth thread in the trail cam section.

I've only seen 1 buck with somewhat good antler growth so far but not finished... I could just start to see the points coming into play and this was the other day while hiking around with my dog... other then that just seen spike looking deer and knubs

Way too early, racks won't begin to become full until August

I glassed a southern Ohio 8 point this weekend, that had 8" G2s and 5" G3's, brows, the full rack it looked like. He is either early or has a lot more growing to do, which would be ridiculous.

I had a couple nice starts on my last camera pull. Some bucks will put on quicker than others, just like some bucks shed earlier than others, but for the most part you should start to see the full potential by early to mid august like stated above.
