Why can't you kill them without corn? Explain.

I think he was just trolling for one of us bait-users, fletch. ;)

Are you kidding me? Who is pushing for allowing baiting in Minnesota? There are numerous counties and cities where feeding deer is prohibited, there is zero push for allowing baiting.

Not to make an argument better/worse....but a question.

Is there any difference in hunting a corn pile, or a mineral/salt block, or a food plot you planted, or using Buck Lure, or any other "attractant" ?

    Just asking.

    Yes, and no.

Corn is looked at as the “easy route”. You know, Kevin Durant style. Quickly buy your way into something that works. Kinda how a lot of bowhunters view crossbows.

Food plotting is for the “diehards” and “deer managers” also known as the people with a lot of time and resources.

For sake of argument, I’ve done both in the past so I really don’t care what you do as a hunter.

If doing it the “hard” way is your cup of tea, then planting food plots is a justifiable way of baiting. It does take time, skill, work, ect.

In the end they are all attracting deer via their stomach.

By Iowa law any time someone transport or causes to be placed (any of the listed feed, etc.) for the purpose of attracting wild life is baiting and is prohibited. It would be a judgement call for sure except for the obvious. Real fine line between feeding and baiting. I am not going to get close to it if I can help it. I feed the deer the ground fall apples but don't hunt close to the area. Keeps the deer away from the apple trees.

So, just for giggles....Lets see how some due....Just a question.

    No bait/food plots
    No scent lures
    No grunt tubes/bleat cans/ETC

Just you, your bow, and your tree stand....How you think some/most would do ?

That's actually a pretty good idea for a challenge, not just a question. The only difference for me would be leaving my grunt tube and can call at home. I rarely use them anyway. I feel my success rate would be the exact same.

It’s all about what you want to do.

Some guys just want to do it the hard way to prove a point.

We don’t ride horses to work anymore for a reason...lol. But if that’s your MO then that’s fine.

I for one, am not gonna purposely make it harder.

As far as myself, I don't hunt to make a point.
