I'd say so, been watching bucks chase does outside my range for 3 days now. This morning, a 9 pointer chased a doe around the yard and then off to the neighbor's place. Haven't seen this much chasing in a long time.
Saw one young buck chasing a doe the other day but then had a good 8 point in for a buddy that didn't care about a grunt or light rattling or the can call. Haven't seen any other signs I thinks its still early for Colorado anyway.
Just came in to warm up and eat lunch. Had a buck in the timber that would grunt every time I bleated, but evidently he's a couch buck (never gets up and moves to the ladies, expects them to come to him).
Hey IA Vet, What's the action like where you are? Saw a really small 1.5 yrd old chasing a doe this morning, than NOTHING tonight. Except what I spooked while leaving in the dark. you had a good rut signs yet?
