I would prefer they don't go unbeaten, but I don't see anyone remaining on their schedule that could prevent that.
In a perfect world, the Lions will beat them with a last second field goal in the remaining seconds of the season. That, would be glorious.
Best team in the NFL right now, but the Pack is far from unbeatable. Saints are the only NFC team I can see having a chance at beating them come playoff time. Otherwise its up to the Pats, Steelers or Ravens to end their perfect season in the Superbowl. But I agree with Vito. I really want the Lions to end their streak first.
Pretty much a done deal. The Giants were the last speed bump on their schedule. I hope they run the table and go 19-0 to shut up Mercury Morris and that Dolphin team. Actually they have a chance (if they go undefeated this year) to break the longest winning streak in any sport if they carry it into next season. Heard it on SC yesterday, I forgot who it was (maybe NBA) it was like 33 games or something. That would be very impressive for an NFL team.
You know, I would be fine with that quite honestly. The ultimate goal is winning the super bowl. Don't care about the how or why's. So maybe that would refocus the team by losing a game. It sure didn't work out too well for the Pat's a few years ago.
It would be impressive for any team to go 16-0...however it does seem like GB drew a relatively easy schedule this year especially for a SuperBowl Champ? The Giants and Lions are supposed to be the big tests on the back half of the schedule and neither of those teams has won many games lately. When the Patriots did it seems like there were a few more elite teams they needed to get by....just saying But 16-0 is 16-0...I guess you can only beat the teams on your schedule...would just be nice to see them challenged a bit more IMO
I think 19-0 is the number everyone is looking at. 16-0 although REALLY impressive, has been done already and in recent memory. To get to 19 they will be tested and have to go through the best teams in the NFL.
I believe they will go 16-0, but I'm nervous about the playoffs. Think about it, pretty much everything revolves around Rogers and the passing game. They will secure home field advantage and have to play in some potentially horrible weather. If we run into a good running team at home under those conditions, we're ****ed. I'd rather see them play on the road in warm weather or a dome.
