Or is it the access to news 24-7 that we read about so many shootings, the violence I see on the news every morning really has me questioning what is going on. Even the freedom of people to conceal carry doesn't seem to be the deterrent I once thought it would be. And what about curfews, the all night escapades seem to lead to early morning shootings most every night. Is there any stopping it or is it just becoming an American way of life?

I do think that most of it is the more media coverage, although I do think that there is a rise in lack of parenting in a lot of cases. The way that kids are today is nothing like when I was a kid. There is no way that I would have been able to have the lack of respect for people the way kids do today. THere is no way that I would have been allowed the freedom to be out and about all hours of the night with god knows who. My step daughter is 16 and I am in constant awe with the things that her friends get away with...or just the things their parents let them do. Girls staying overnight at their boyfriends house, staying out all night not know where they are going to be and who they are going to be with, no responsibilities at home/school, the way they "tell" their parents what they are going to do. I just don't get it!
Lets say for conversation sake, the individual is in the middle of a trans gender procedure that will leave said individual with hermaphroditic tendencies and likenesses.
And Melissa, Yes I too think the lack of parenting skills or even parents play a huge roll in this behavior.
2 facts play into the so called rise in violence. first one you mentioned. The media thrives on giving us bad news. Secondly, the population of the world continues to grow,meaning there are more people and more opportunities for violence to occur.
It's the government owned media spreading the word of all these shootings knowing full well there will be copy cat shootings trying to sway the people on the fence that more gun regulations are needed. If this was not an election year we would be up to our arse in new legislation being written. If Owebama wins look out after January!!
the liberals and all the puppets that are afraid to think for themseves are the ones that are driving the attack on our 2nd amendment rights. being able to conceal carry is being overridden by businesses and individuals even though state law allows you to carry. if people would just realizw that people kill people, not guns. the media which is extremely liber badal only wants to show the " bad " things people do with guns. you will never hear about the husband and father who while defending his family, home, and property from some law breaking illeagal gun toting scumbag that is breaking into their home with ill intentions, must shoot this trash in self defense. if by chance you do it will be because he is being prosecuted for murder. people need to wake up! before long our whole way of life and our freedoms will be only a memory.

You would be surprised (or maybe not) how many people actually believe that the recent Dark Knight shootings were planned by the Obama administration in order to get more people to back more gun control. Like there are really people that strongly believe this. Like really.
if obama gets re-elected we won't be able to buy them legally very easy and the price of ammo will be unaffordable. they can have my guns when they pry them from my cold dead fingers.
