    Right. I understand that.

In my opinion the technological advances today in the archery industry as a whole is making us lazy. The Xero bow site for compounds is just another step in that direction. Crossbows marketing bows that shoot 1" groups at 100 yards... Compounds marketing a site that automatically ranges and shows the pin for you... What's next? Any marketing moving forward is going to "harm" the industry.

It takes almost zero skill to shoot a modern compound bow effectively out to 30 yards. sorry but it's true. Same goes for a modern compound crossbow.

I totally agree with you. The industry as a whole has moved too fast. You could make an argument that there's been more innovation in the past ten years then in the rest of history combined. And quite frankly they are out of ideas.

That is why I like to drink a cup of coffee, walk out into the woods, and hunt with just my compound. No deer calls, no scents, and washing my clothes in baking soda. I am still using technology in the form of a gps unit and a high tech bow, but I like to keep it simple. I am still hesitant on getting a range finder...ughhh. LOL

Might as well just get a crossbow. That makes you lazy. Shooting a compound takes a lot of work and practice.

What's the longest shot you'd take on an un-alert deer?

OK, thanks. Guess I don't understand you guys well enough to know when to take you seriously. Some on here are really dead set against crossbows and the people that use them.

I think most people greatly exaggerate how much they shoot their bow because they're afraid of the stigma.

    Me too.

Fact: you can shoot 100s of zombies (and that chick who got nailed in the eye socket) with the same arrow that’s been shot into trees multiple times and it’s still safe to shoot.

Got my 11year old son a compound bow we got it sighted in and he was hitting bulls eyes at 30 yards the second day after shooting about 2 dozen arrows until then he had only had about 5 stray arrows out of about 50 shots. I hadn’t shot a compound bow in years and about 5years ago I got an old bow and I had never shot some cheap Walmart arrows and a target walked out in the yard took a shot a 5 arrow group of about 3 inches shot about a dozen more arrows and was hitting the my nocks backed up to 30,40, then 50 and was hitting the inside the ring every shot. Now I’m not saying practice isn’t good but you defiantly don’t have to practice that much to be efficient with a compound bow and sights once you figure out what torque and how to use a peep sight.

I just look at the anticrossbow crowd and laugh, they are so insecure of their hunting ability and are afraid some newb with a crossbow is going to kill all the deer and they not going to kill one. I bow hunt during rifle season on public land and see plenty of deer just use their lack of knowledge to your advantage and quit crying about how someone else likes to hunt odds are they are new to hunting/archery and will upgrade to a vertical bow if they are physically capable because crossbows are not that fun to shoot.

Bro I have crazy respect for you but Come on man. Shooting a modern compound bow is not difficult at all, it’s like one step away from being a crossbow. Seriously.

If someone thinks shooting a modern compound bow is hard, they must have had a really challenging life so far.

Two years ago my wife, who had never shot a bow before in her life, was shooting 2 inch groupings at 20 yards within 30 minutes.

My son can go a year without shooting his bow bring it outside, and be breaking Knocks at 20 yards with in 3-5 arrows.

    Me... pretty much the same.

Bow hunters with modern equipment are giving themselves to much credit for their shooting “skill”.

Sorry, but it’s not hard to do.
