That thing shouldn’t have the word “bow” in it at all. It’s an air rifle that shoots an arrow

We should start the Wisconsin State Crossbro Association. Then we can lobby for our weapon to be used during all archery seasons and then act like traditional and compound shooters are the scum of the earth. We definitely wouldn't allow those jerks to attend any of our super secret shoots or basement parties. You in?

Ended up at one of those before, it was sketchy, lots of wrestling and crisco. I mean...try anything once I guess.

Fortunately those are classified as a firearm by existing Indiana law.

Though some guy who is upset DNR isn't allowing them will just run to his senator friend who will undermine DNR by writing a law. In turn he will accidentally make all firearms illegal in the State of Indiana.

For those not from Indiana, were on our third year of fixing a rifles for deer hunting law that the legislature took upon themselves to write.

Crossbow marketing right now is everything that any anti string rifle individual like myself could want it to be. Wanna get crossguns out of Archery season? Make them seem like guns. I love it.
This marketing breeds even more irresponsibility which some hunters don't really need any help with. In my occupation I am lucky enough to deal with string gunners on a daily basis and let me tell you..... It can be very interesting.
I cant tell you how many times a month I get the asked "hey, do you sight in crossbows? I can't shoot good enough to do it myself." Or "can you sight this in before I buy it? I don't think I can do it on my own." To which I want to reply " are you kidding me? You can't shoot well enough to sight your own bow in but your gonna shoot it at deer?"
Now before I get the usual Compound hunters do the same thing.... Yeah I've had it..... 4 or 5 times in 6 years not 4 or 5 times a month.
So now these same people are gonna be out there launching arrows at 100 yards when they can't even sight the bow in at 20. It's unreal.
We're never gonna be able to do anything about the gun toting hillbillies but hopefully this marketing will drive game commissions to put the string rifle guys out there with them.

sorry to correct you, its a BOLT. it mysteriously became an arrow when the marketing didn't know the equipment they are advertising. they had to figure out some way to call it bow and arrow. haha!

I really think it wouldn't be as bad if they would have to use fixed pins instead of red dot scopes. they should do everything in their power to keep as many similarities as vertical bow guys. they are taking it too far. nice to see some of you crossgunners seeing the light on this subject. not being sarcastic with that statement.

I imagine hypocrisy is on the menu as well? You know those whole baiting law things.

They just closed/banned baiting for the county I hunt in along with another neighboring county. That also resets two other counties for baiting/feeding. I'm loving this! Maybe the deer movement will be a little more natural now. But I'm sure the private owners are still going to bait. No control over that.

I was referring to Rancid on that post the cross bow hating closet baiter.

He should be allowed a dispensation from this site to allow him to weigh in on all crossbow related matters. His contribution is always welcomed.
