Yes. Although it doesn't consume my life year round. Like RJ, I'm pretty consumed with home remodeling/repair. I enjoy finally having a place of my own, and I'm constantly diving into big projects (already have three major projects in progress). I wanted to start to get into flyfishing this year, but haven't allowed myself the time. I'm into offroading, and modifying trucks (this is MUCH more expensive than bowhunting, but just as addicting). I have TOO many hobbies for sure. Once I'm married and when I finally decide to have kids, the list will certainly shorten, but bowhunting will never fall off the list.
It's pretty high up there but my tracking dog is number one. We train a lot. After him I'd say bowhunting, turkey call making, offshore fishing take up time evenly. Good thing I'm retired so I have time to do all this good stuff. Dan
Yes, my daughter is now closing in on a year old...all my time is spent with her and my wife, and the streetbikes are gone. All that is left is hunting deer, turkey's, and spending all my time with my family. I am right where I want to be in life spiritually. Ben, I cannot wait for the post from you saying you are a daddy.
Fishing was mine until i turned 16, now i would say hunting is. Bowhunting for whitetails is my favorite, closely followed by shotgun hunting for turkeys, then catfishing, then bass fishing. Playing basketball is 5th.
Bowhunting is definitely one of my favorite hobbies but I can't really rank them. In no particular order it would be hunting in general (any legal animal that tastes good), fishing, trail cams, riding atv's, planting (food plots and veggie gardens), travel, hiking and flyfishing out west, up in Vermont, or down on the Tenneesee/N. Carolina border, snow and water skiing, work at the farm (wildlife/habitat mgt) ..etc....ANYTHING outdoors usually
No. I just got started this year. So far I love shooting the bow and learning all about everything archery. I only wish I could have learned at an earlier age. I'm a snowboarder, skateboarder, spearfisherman, dirtbiker. There is no concrete number one hobby though.
Amen to that!!! Thank goodness for a great wife who understands also because the first one didn't!!!Walt
