Yes. Sure did. I compared the way society socially interacts with those issues to make the point. I see a correlation. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
You guys realize that there is a backlash when so many words become off limits because of PC right? I agree with Dan. The names just changing for feel good reasons. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
I don't have any friends. That is why I hang out here with u losers Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
But I don't have any deaf friends. I'm all alone in this world. Sniff sniff. Btw, I didn't know vito is gay. Sent from my SCH-I500 using Tapatalk
That's gay. If someone makes a joke about how "white" an action is I don't get offended. Or how hillbilly Kentucky is. Or how blondes are the stupidest among hair colors. Or makes jokes about fat kids (I was a chunker growing up lol). I don't get the sensitivity to words, much less jokes. But I'm not gay so I wouldn't understand. Retarded was the proper term until we as society attached the negative stigmatism to it (No one with a mental disability ever decided that retarded would be offensive to them, they were taught to believe it to be offensive). And while I'm on my soapbox (and really crossing all the lines), its equally annoying to me (especially living in Birmingham) to here the "N word" (Gasp!) thrown around more than hello by those inflicted with darker pigmentation but then are ready for blood bathes when it is used or hinted towards by someone else (even if the person is simply singing a song with those lyrics). Activists in general need to find better ways of occupying their time these days instead of chasing down prejudice ghosts that don't exist among the vast majority of society they are harassing for being prejudice.
Yeah, lets never evolve! This country went to hell when they freed the slaves. Damn you Lincoln! He got what he deserved. Bring back prejudice! Bring back prejudice! Bring back prejudice! Who's with me?!
I work with the disabled .... why would you want to hurt someone by exercising your right to use a term??? You also have the right to not use it and be respectful, you bunch of jackasses! Wow....
Typical response for someone who refuses to admit that racial inequalities were abolished long ago. IMO, we are indeed bringing back prejudice in an attempt to over correct for wrongs done nearly a century ago. In your opinion, who has it tougher to make it successful in life, a dirt poor white middle school male or a dirt poor black middle school female if both put forth the effort to succeed in school? Who has more programs, inroads, scholarships, etc available to them to succeed based on nothing but the listed credentials above? The day we quit pinning social economic inequalities on racial inequalities this country will be a lot better off.
