Is A.D.D. with kids a real thing, or do they just need more whoopins?

Germ, I respect a lot of your opinions, but I am not getting your hostility towards Americans.

We live in a great country, with some really great people. However, our country is being eroded by bs laws and people with overextended self righteousness on BOTH sides of the political spectrum. People who push their bs agenda on others and I know I am not the only person who is downright sick of it.

 

Vs no hostility at all, just facts.

I just find it funny how we(media, our leader) claim and preach we're the best, and we're not.

How many times have we heard we're the greatest country in the world?

 

Germ, we ARE the greatest country in the world.

 

Are we first in education?

Are we first in house hold income?

We are the fattest I believe.

I think we are first in people in prison per capita. Not sure

Where do we rank in poverty?

We were the greatest and can be again, but we're not in this time period. We need to look in the mirror and admit it and fix it.

 

Goes along with we can't have self government without self control.

We have alot of our problems because we are also the most free society.

I'm not willing to trade freedom in for any of those on that list.

We ARE the greatest in this time period. All those things you just listed are a matter of self control. The government was not designed to be and should not be responsible for any of those things. I guess we could control our country through socialistic policies like some of the "great" European countries and be looked upon as a sweet, flexible, and loving society. But you know what, that ain't America. That isn't what made America great and any policy that threatens freedom even if it makes our country look good via worldly perception, is not something we should even consider. We are so worried about end that we forget the means are the most important thing..the things that build us and bond us.

I am very afraid our country has taken a serious turn for the worse in that regard......screw it. Just give this person that...this person this "deserves" this...screw it. We should just make every single law to off set every single little thing that might be hard on people. In fact, darn it, just start dividing up all the money in the country and give it all out in even amounts and lets start again.....

 

I can't wait to start with nothing and be independently wealthy by the age of 50.

Try that in one of your "great" countries.

Our education system isn't number one because we don't treat our children like midget slaves like they do in Asia (not to mention we force the stupid ones through school as well instead of sending them home to work). Our healthcare isn't number one because we are free to eat as much as we please and can actually afford to do so (gotta love freedom). Our country might be on the ropes financially, but lets not kid ourselves into thinking there is someplace better out there.

 

We are the greatest country in the world, millions of people flee to this country for freedom.
