I’ve already ordered a dozen 300 spine arrows from my local archery shop to be customized. And ethics 125-200 grain inserts. Will my arrow be underspined? Gold tip calculator said total arrow weight will be 530 grains and right at 15% Foc. If I went with 125 grain insert and 100 grain point. The archery shop guy said should be fine but will Broadheads be hard to tune with those specs?
I shoot 60# @ 29”. My arrows are 300 spine Gold Tips with a 100 grain insert and a 125 grain broad head. It’s a wonderful set up.
I agree with @LittleChief and @dnoodles you are probably fine because you are at 60lbs draw weight. I shoot my bow at 68lbs @ 27" with 225 up front. I shoot 250 spine. 300s are okay inside 25 yards but past that it gets erratic. I shoot the stiffer spine to play it safe at all distances.
Hard not to agree with @LittleChief . I'm fairly certain he killed almost all the deer last year. I just hope the population bounces back
If he has another season like last year, he will be one of the few who can wear the "I killed more deer than CWD" shirt and have it be true.
Here you go. @Justin started the company. I am not sure if COVID has slowed down their business at all. https://bustedrack.com/products/kill-more-deer-than-cwd-shirt
busted rack is great, have quite a few of their designs. My favorite is the Wildlife Violations nod to Busbice the ******...
I cherish my BR “Tag Soup” shirt. Wondering how you guys are figuring out the spine on these. I shoot 62lbs, 27” DL with 27” rampage, 125head+ 100 outsert and weight for 225 up front coming to 445 w a nockturnal out back. I felt I was close on spine- and they appear to shoot fine close, far and with broadheads. That being said, and if I wasn’t over a dozen deep id be aiming for an arrow 75-100gr greater which appears to be where I’ll end up in time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
