I’m going to look at a few leases this weekend. They are 110,100,160 in acreage. It will only be me and my dad on it. Do you think 100 acres is enough?

Enough for what? For two people? That's plenty.

Depends on a lot of things like access routes, how much timber, how often you plan on hunting it, if you’re hunting right for the wind, etc.

I had a 135 acre lease last year and just had enough I think. I was doing 1-2 sits a week with really good access. It would have been hard to hunt two guys on it.

Like already stated it really depends. Would need to see whats around that area as well and where food and potential bedding areas are. 50 acres would be plenty in some places but in others you would need 200 to make it productive. Its all about location.

Loaded question, it really depends on the farm. In the right circumstances 5 is enough, in the wrong circumstances 500 isn't. All things being equal, 100 should easily be enough for two hunters. Depends on the area of the country and the farm/landscape/deer population.

100 acres of woods is more than enough, 100 acres of grassland would leave a lot to be desired awat from spot and stalk states.

I have hunted, along with up to 6-8 others, 70 acres the past 10 years. Never a worry.

It's about the land, not the size of the land.

The owner said it is about 50 wooded 50 open. It is river front property. No one hunts on either side of it as no one lives there either. We plan on hunting it on the weekends and the occasional afternoon sit on the weekdays.

Yep what everyone else said. We have a 250, 200, 110 and a 73 acre lease property's. It depends on a lot of things. Pressure, travel routes, bedding areas, food sources. Pressure is the main thing we have seen over the years in our area in PA. We try to only hunt each property once or at most twice a week. Our 73 acre piece has 70 of hardwoods with a 3 acre field which we plant a foodplot. Now all have foodplots but the 73 acre has everything. We took 3 bucks 120-130 off that property last year
