Sorry to hear that. It sux to have anything stolen. I paint the red light black because that's what catches peoples attention and I put my cameras 10 feet off the ground in the tree. All my cameras have swivel brackets on them and I carry one set of gorilla climbing sticks with me. I climb to the top of my stick and screw in the camera and point it at the spot I want to film. No one ever sees them and if someone rips off my stand I got them on film.
i had a stand stolen on private land.... dad owned a field, set up in the corner preparing for the opener a few years back... went back the next day... stand was gone. sorry 'bout your cam, they're not cheap.
I had not one but two ladder stands stolen last season. Right off my 30acres. I know who did if but have no hard evidence. It was during a 3 day hospital stay with my son. They knew we were gone because they are family members. After the conversation I had with their parents, I doubt I will have an issue out of them again. This time, they are 18 and that's all I'm going to say online.
Yes. Little teenage punk! He ha damaged others hunting stuff such as busting a concrete block out from under a box stand that his uncle uses on his property. I found out about it before he went hunting with a loaded x-bow and rolled the blind down the hill. I replaced the block and informed the uncle. We check everything before we use it now. Him, the sheriff's department, his parents and the local DNR have been forewarned if I catch him messing with anything what will happen. They all understand and have states they know nothing. Since that day and his knowledge of everyone knowing, he hasn't even so much as looked at me. I think we have an understanding now.
My dad had a stand stolen Tuesday. Has the scums on video, hopefully I can tell who it is when I see the video. I got a stand a couple hundred yds. Away from where his was. One was wearing camo so hes obviously a "hunter"...a holes. Think I might just make some photo copies and put they're picture up all around town warning other real hunters there's thieves around
people suck. ive seen many stands and cameras. i even sat in one for a while. but i would NEVER steal anything. if its not mine, leave it
What if you befriended him instead? I know he doesn't deserve it... but what if you tried that approach?
