Not an Apple basher. Just not an Apple fanboy. BIG difference.

I may own one someday, but if I do, it will be for good reason and I will know why I bought it.

How long you boys camp in line??

Dont forget the zombie part......seriously. And when you are on the run from zombies, dont trust those Apple maps!!

What country are those iPhones made in for that American company?? China?? Bet they make a good apple pie over there too....

Fletch, you want to be a little shot? Well put your little boy pants on and step up to the saucer? Keep using the Droid and be happy.

    Wow, you win!!

Sorry I dont believe that the iPhone is the only phone option in the world. Not sure why that hurts so bad.:lmao:

Kind of proves my point quite well. Lots of folks think that the only way to be a BIG shot is to carry a certain brand of phone or drive a certain car or shoot a certain bow. Apple knows exactly how to market to that mindset and does a brilliant job of it.

All I did was post a few facts about the new iPhone and that didnt seem to sit so well with some I guess. ;)

This sucks, all I've ever really wanted was to be a Big shot.......guess I can go drink away that pipe dream.

I actually kind of like that too. Do you mind if I use that on Vito sometime?

Hope you all understand that I am only having fun with this.

I would never camp out for any product, much less a dang phone. Lol I too find that weird.

If I'm camping out, it's because I believe a big buck or bull is in the next basin over!

FTR, I like Trevor even though he is an Apple fanboy.

    So there's that.

I see what you did there.:tu:

But lets not pretend to like each other. It's weird, and gives people the wrong impression. Everyone knows the liberal fisherman from Michigan can't be friends with the conservative student living in Alabama. Rookie mistake.

That was fast, only took 3 1/2 hours to use that line on Vito. I was expecting tomorrow at least  Impressive!

What fun is life without stereotypes? I wouldn't make it through the day without stereotyping and secretly belittling total strangers.

Such as, oh idk, apple fanboys?

I actually love my pc.. and never have issues with it. It's five years old, and running like a champ. Still fast as can be... and I was able to put some new gear in it a while back (sound card, video card, blue ray drive). I like having the option to "upgrade" without having to buy a new system (or spending $1000 for a piece or two). I think I have $1100 in it.. and I'd put it up against that $2500 mac anytime. Granted, I'm a gamer by nature, we get a little crazy about our computers.

My next computer I'll build with my specifications (like I did this one), spend $1000, and have a rig that will blow a mac away for a third of the price. I'll probably use my sound card, video card, and blue ray drive in my next build. Save some money that way. Mac has some benefits, audio/video production being one of them, but the difference isn't game changing like it once was. Granted, if I was using a computer strictly for one of these purposes I'd probably lean towards a mac. Even then I'd probably have a hard time justifying the cost differences, especially if what I was doing used a lot of 3D rendering.

Mac is more stable, and less prone to viruses, but that's not completely fool-proof. The reason pcs are attacked by viruses is two fold. One, it's easier (yes, it is easier)... Two, there are not as many macs out there as pcs... There's a risk/reward.. time/effort.. vs payoff there (more users = more computers to infect)

    http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/technology/2012/04/mac-os-x-report-virus-infects-600000-computers/

Viruses can happen to Macs, and with the increase in popularity I would be willing to bet that we see more Mac viruses in the near future.

Just my 2 cents on it.

Disclaimer: I actually know how to install things on my pc, and run a defrag once and a while.

My wife wants an I-phone, when asked "Why?"... she can't give me a reason... she says they're "cool". She said the screen on the GS3 was "too big", as well. She can have one if she wants.... Who am I to stand in her way of getting a "cool" small phone. That, however, doesn't mean I won't poke fun at her... lol.

Well if you want to run with the little dogs you better step up to the saucer and get your gal that Iphone. Stop in a seven eleven on the way home and reward yourself with a little gulp.

This sounds like the same old haters club.
Remember when cell phones came out and people ragged on others supposedly talking on the moble phone at lights just to look cool?

    Love the one your with.

    I hear you, but.

It makes zero sense to make these things in the US. What is good for the company, comes first. Plus, if they were made in the US, they would sell 1/10 of them. Which would require less US jobs. I know you know that, just making a point.

This article thinks Apple creates around 300,000 US jobs....http://www.npr.org/2012/03/06/148049517/how-many-u-s-jobs-does-apple-really-create

It just has to be smooth, if it is made somewhere else.

If Lone Wolf wouldn't have royally F'd up their move to China, you can bet your *** they'd still be making them there!

So you cannot use google maps on the new 5?

I am not much of an apple guy, I do not love or hate them. I have an ipod touch and my wife a 4S... I have bought google droid phones the last couple times.

I am due for an upgrade in a couple weeks... and need to research a bit on if I will upgrade and if I do to what.

Can I get a consolidated list of the pros and cons of the 5?

I know the pros and cons of the droid op system. I currently have an HTC Thunderbolt, it has been an excellent phone.
