Which means?? That by definition they dont know what they are selling? I have sold insurance/investment products for over 22 years and would like to think I have a lot of knowledge to offer my clients. Same goes in the world of phone sales. I trust the sales people that deal with the products on a daily basis to help me make a decsision as to what will best suit my needs. Same as I would with a lot of products. I dont run out to the auto dealership and buy the first shiny red car I see because its what my buddy drives. I'm not a hater of iPhones, just proving a point that a lot of people walk into stores to buy one for absolutely no known reason. Better yet, they buy one online without ever even holding one in their hand. They have not a clue why they want it, they just have been sucked in by the hype. For some, it is absolutely the best phone for their needs. For others, not so much. I just think its funny that I can ask a lot of iPhone owners details about their phone, and they have no clue about it but did not think once about looking at anything other. I have even known people to buy one from out of area from a provider that does not even have decent reception in our area! But they think it makes them look trendy or something. Why else would you buy a phone that does not even work well where you live? By the way, I shoot a Mathews.....sorry Vito. It makes me look cool. Disclaimer: Not EVERYONE that carries an iPhone is a sheep. But, there is a very large flock.
I do too and I use only apple products mostly. This same mentality almost kept me from purchasing my Mathews despite how well the bow shoots for me. I hate fanboys for any product in any industry for the most part.
I was one of those who switched to the iphone for no apparent reason other than everyone around me told me I had to. I did no research whatsoever before buying the 4s. That was a mistake. I can't wait until 2 years are up so I can get another droid. Here are the little annoyances with my iphone - - No swype keypad, I really miss this. - I really don't care for the previous call number memory on the iphone. On my droid if I started typing a number, it would auto recall as I was typing. I could also tap a number in the history and it would show me everytime I've called that number. - The call history was a lot longer than 5 days (although I suspect I could change this setting somewhere) - Can't have widgets. I'm slowly getting over this but I still think it's annoying - No google navigation. In fact no free navigation at all. Anyone know a good one I can buy? There are a couple good things - free visual voice mail - I like the screen unlock much better than my old galaxy. - itunes - I've since gotten into audiobooks while I run, although I suspect I could do this with droid as well

Where is the like button! haha I've quickly learned that making more money definitely does not correlate to intelligence all the time. Sometimes not even most the time.
Got the new iPhone last night and I must say its wicked fast. Taller a little thinner and so light it fells like a toy. Apples done it again. IMO Now the other smart phones can start ripping off their new design and technology
I find most of the thoughts here interesting. I am an apple user for the simple fact that I switched to an Imac 8 years ago out of frustration with a dell desktop and microsoft products. It still works and is my kids primary computer. Yes I own newer Imacs, plus a macbook and Ipads plus and iphone. Fan boy,I guess, but what I find interesting is 10 years ago the company was nearly dead. Running out of money, no good products etc. Now the haters come our of the woodwork. It's an amazing american success story, that is truly global. America would be better off if GM or any other iconic american company could innovate and export on this level. Additionally, when someone here says they don't like the closed model of apple, but then turns around and says they don't like microsoft I don't understand what you like. Ubuntu, Google. The reality is for the vast majority of people, Apple made products that just worked. When I see a 70 year old coworker using his Iphone you realize that they work really hard to make very complex things simple. Yet I get in my Ford truck with Sync by microsoft and you need a PHD in computer science to get it to change stations. Its the complete opposite. i agree getting worked up over a phone is a bit shallow, but look at phones from 2007 before the Iphone and then look at phones now. The same could be said for Ipads. 84 million ipads sold last quarter in a segment that didn't exist 2.5 years ago. To innovate and deliver is truly amazing at any level. The reality is as consumers we are all better off when a market leader pushes the envelope.
I've only owned Mac's since the early 90's. Bought a DELL once and sent it back the same day. I still have an original duo dock mac form the 90's that was a lap top that clipped into a full size monitor and keyboard so you had the best of both worlds and for only about $7,000
Thats a nice story. I think you'll find most people poke fun at Apple because the fanboys get all worked up easily. This is just like the Tebow conversations, only Apple actually has a decent product. Anyone that just says "Apple sucks!" is really only doing it to get under peoples' skin, or they are a moron. Apple did a great job of creating a niche. When they were nearly dead, they convinced people their computers were superior for graphic work. They sold computers at massive discounts to universities to be used in their design labs. Professors taught students that macs were the way to go for graphics. Hence, fanboys were created. Were the computers better? No. Did people believe they were? Absolutely. A very smart move on Apple's part. Once they realized the power of creating fanboys, they thrived on this model. The iPhone is the most obvious case to date. Holding back on features so they can sell more phones 6 months later. Smart business, not so educated customers. Or maybe its just that they don't care? I ask because I don't know. I can't get in the mind of a fanboy. Apple does make easy to use products. You can't have a base of less intelligent fanboys and then make products for people of average intelligence. You would confuse and lose your customers. Again, thats just smart business. Apple is executing their business plan flawlessly.
Ever wonder why apples competition doesn't even try to make their stuff look like they didn't just knock off the iPhone? I'm just saying they seem like want a be iPhones.
Actually, by all metrics Apple users tend to be Older, more intelligent and make more money then their counterparts. But I guess facts never got in the way of you trying to prove a point.
So, Apple just caught up to the competition with 4G which has been around for a while now. I have had it for several months in the sticks of Iowa. Funny to hear the iPhone users singing the 4G praises now. (It's sooo fast!!) They also just caught up with the competition on the camera (sort of), and the screen. Still cant operate two functions at once like the competition. And, good luck with those Apple maps since they can no longer use Google. Sounds like some horrible reviews there. Not sure anyone wants to be Apple right now. But, sounds like the iFans are happy. That's all that matters. Contrary to popular belief among iPhone fans, it will NOT save you from zombies.
Same stuff we heard about PC's but then you had to compress and clean out all the BS all the time and the apple mapping is great for me. I have better maps and no issues. If apple builds it, they will knock it off. Windows operating system. Mouse. Touch control smart phones. Apps. Nuf said. ps. Any shout outs for apple being an American company? I know it matters to some guys for tree stands.
Apple bashers will never get it. Quit trying (and allowing them to simultaneously get a rise out of you). It's no different than guys convincing me a PC is a better purchase than a Mac. First month of use? maybe equal. Get back with me 2 years later and see how you feel about that PC...Heck 6 months even.
