Well went out for an all day sit and stalk. Didn't see much in the AM so I started walking some corn my totals were 57 does, 9 bucks, a coyote, a fox, and about 5 million pheasants. I5 of the bucks were wall mounters. They were moving extensively, and I just couldn't connect with most of the them, but my look started to pick up. As i was crawling through a thicket a nice 5 x 5 got up for a 45 yard shot. A little father then my normal shots, but I decided to try. I watched as my arrow flew right over his ducking back. a clean miss. I just couldn't believe it . Through my 9 hour walk I found a couple new spots that I'll hit up for the rest of the season. I'll be right back out tomorrow for sure. Maybe I'll get a nice little Xmas present in the form of a filled tag! My season ends the 1st here in MN, then I'll be hunting in SD to fill two doe tags until Jan 31st
I spent all day plowing! Heading out of town tommorow...work next week. I think my hunting season is over. However, i did get a bushnel rangefinder, and a primos ground blind for my birthday!! Also got a $50 gift card to cabelas. I think my sis-in-law got me new carbon arrows. No idea, what Christmas will be like, but my b-day has been good so far...and it isn't my b-day tell tommorow!! Quick story about the Ground Blind...my wife and i set it up in the living room, and my daughter loved it! In and out, in and out, in and out....when we said it was time to put it away, she was not happy! Best fort ever!! Anyway...Merry Christmas everyone!!!!
