Ready for this huge snow storm? Some are saying over a foot to 20 Inches! Shall make the deer hunting very Interesting and my job a very sucky one!! Speaking of deer hunting, I'm out of here.
Suppose to pretty much be all rain in southeastern part of Wi here buddy. BLOWS! Hey take pics for me up there.
Expecting 18 inches here in southwest MN, I still plan to go out in the morning though! Went out tonight and saw 3 shooters all just out of range. Hopefully I can connect with one tomorrow!
Good deal Krohboy and good luck!!! I saw 7 tonight, one bb came Into range. The others were doe's and fawns. Not sure If I'm going out tomorrow morning yet, see what the weather Is doing.
Steve, you're going to get a taste of what we just went through here in Pa. It's some serious work trudging through 18" of that white stuff!.
13-18" here by Saturday morning are the reports. I got out last night and almost shot a doe. Was hoping to get back out tonight, as the deer would have really been moving before this storm, but I was afraid to leave Jill home when she could go into labor at any minute.
me and 3 buddies just limited out on the crappies again tonight, the front really got them goin :D ...except my 10min ride home took 30, she's really blowin out there!
Have fun guys! We just went through it last weekend....got 20" here. Been a while since we had a big snow like that.
Should be interesting..... National weather service was saying that this could be a 25 year storm for us and potentially a top 5 storm of all time. I just dug out some old contact info tonight from a rancher that I hunted on the last really bad winter we had several years ago - just in case I get a chance to head out for a day or two...
Dan I got that call from Kate also, keep your phone close its coming. She isnt due untill Jan, but Hunter came 3 weeks early also.
Was going to go out this am, have an hour drive north right into where rain/ice/snow line is. Didn't need to be in ditch at 5a.m. Taking two days off next week. Really itching to be in stand now that shotgun is finally over
We got somewhere In between 4 to 6 Inches so far as of this morning. I ended up going out this morning. Saw 2 doe's, thought the sit would be allot better then It was. The highlight of the hunt was falling face 1st In a crick that I tried jumping over on the way In to my stand this morning. You could say I got a little wet but I stayed out there 3 hours anyway. I texted a few guys after It happened, figured some could use a good laugh with their coffee!!
Looks like this will essentially end the pheasant hunting season too. My lab cant operate in 2 feet of snow.
