My best friend decided to sell everything he has here in MN, pack the family, and move to SE Iowa. He bought a 40-acre farm that connects to a good chunk of public in a great area. I finally have a connection and starting point when I apply for my tag in the next few years.
By the time any of us draw Iowa archery tags they will cost $1,000 and all of the deer will be dead from CWD or EHD.
Me and a buddy just purchased our 4th point this year. Shooting for next year. I'm only a few hours south of zone 5 and 6 so I'm planning to do alot of scouting the year I plan to hunt Sent from my SM-S928U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
From what I read you can. You can buy and apply the same year Sent from my SM-S928U using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
I dont think so. Usually if you apply for tag, then if you dont get it, you get a extra point. Buying points is only for people that dont plan to hunt that year. You cant put in for a tag and buy a point in the same year. If you already bought a point, then you have to wait til next year to apply for a tag. Edit: I could be completely wrong on this, but every state I've hunted with points was this way. Sent from my SM-S901U using Tapatalk
2026...epic Iowa bh.com hunt camp. Central base. Hunt. Come back and dump beer and baked beans on each other heads at night. Repeat.
That would be epic. I’ll have 5pts next spring so I’m guessing my 4 would not make the cut. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well that sucks… so can I still apply with the points I have for this year? Sent from my iPhone using ]][emoji[emoji6]]]Bowhunting.com Forums
