Has anybody been seeing anything with how hot it has been? Seen a lotta deer on the highway dead. But I've heard only little bucks are up during the day
We are south of ya a ways Mike. I have seen a couple decent bucks in the daylight. One Friday evening and one again Sunday morning. Both were out just looking. No chasing from the bigger ones as of then. Did see a little one chasing last Thursday.
Hunted hard all weekend and saw 8 bucks. 3 were over 130ish inches...Was trimming a tree up sunday mid day for my climber and heard grunting from the valley below me. Watched a 140 8 point run in a circle noise to ground grunting for a good 10 minutes...the same 50 yard circle..Im guessing a hot doe must of passed through there earlier or something..One of the weirdest yet coolest things ive seen for awhile.
I haven't seen much as far as rutting activity. But a friend of mine who lives near Springville says he sees bucks going nuts every night chasing does all over the place
