I've got the 4s and have not done a OS upgrade since I got it over 2 years ago... Original is a lot better IMO.

Don't have the space on my 32G iPhone5 for the IO8 upgrade. Think I'll love the one I'm with for now.

Don't think I'll be running out for the 6 either. Not really digging how much info these corporations and governments are able to get out of what I thought was my personal phone. Just trying to figure how much I really need this thing and how much of it is just a costly distraction from the real world.

Anyone else seeing pretty bad battery life after the OS upgrade?

I went in and adjusted all the app power settings that I could find when googling the problem and I'm still getting way less battery life than I was before.

I have a 4s with the new OS and the battery just sucks worse than before. The problem is my phone is getting older and not designed to run with the current OS.

My rule of thumb, wait 6 months after the update before updating my phone to let all the kinks get worked out.

I've got it on my iPhone 6. Pretty sweet, but nothing to get overly excited about. I'm just happy to have a phone that'll take a charge again and isn't deathly slow.

The iPhone 6 and Plus are the two phones that this new OS was designed to work on. You shouldn't have any issues. It's the people who have the older models that have the most issues with updates.

Just got the iPhone 6 and the iOS 8 works much better on this than the iPhone 4s.

I upgraded my 4s this afternoon. So far everything seems normal - which means freezing up, crashing apps, no 3G, etc.

Time to pony up to the iPhone 6. I can't go through a hunting season with my games locking up on me. :tu:

I'd go with the 5s. My friend just got the six and I really wasn't that impressed. Nothing majorly different except the shape. No great new features that can't be done with the 5s when upgraded. And you'll save a significant amount of money.

I have the 6 and I completely agree with this. To the every day user, it's just a big version of the 5S with a couple small upgrades. I'm actually seriously considering returning it for the 5S. The 6 is too big for one handed operation.

This isn't completely true. If you want to utilize the new Apple Pay (coming in October), you'll need a 6 or 6 Plus. There is hardware associated with it that is absent in previous versions of the iPhone.

Personally I just upgraded my 5s to a 6 on Saturday and I love it. I like the bigger screen and have no problem with one handed operation. I find the 6 to be noticeably faster than the 5s too. I personally think Apple did a good job on this update. I think this was a far better update than the 4s to 5.

How's your battery life? Mine only got about 10 hours of moderate use. Pretty disappointed since I could get that with my 4S that was 2 and a half years old.

Today was my first normal day with it. Battery life seemed to be improved from my 5s. I left work with about 50% battery. I would typically leave with about 40-45% on my 5s.

The difference between the 5s and 6 is $100 with a 2 year upgrade. Even though it's just a few small differences when you decide to sell, it will have a lot better resale value. I love the bigger screen!

iOS 8 on my 4S blows ***. Phone is constantly freezing and locking up. My lock/unlock button on top just quit working, to boot.

Plus, when I open safari it shows my most visited pages. I don't want my wife to know all I use my phone for is bow hunting sites and porn.:busted:
