Hello everyone, new to this cite and also new to bowhunting, I am 20 years old and an avid hunter and fisher. I am currently in college at Appalachian State University. To start I have been in love with the outdoors from a very young age. I primarily hunt deer and turkey but also have hunted small game from an early age and have most recently booked a few big game trips down the road. I have been interested in bowhunting for awhile now but have not had the courage to start. I hunt mostly with my father and cousins and we primarily use rifle and black powder during deer season. I want to challenge my abilities by bowhunting, I feel that bow hunting is hunting at its rawest form and see it as a true measure of sportsmanship. The challenge of hunting with a bow has interested me and I am ready to start. A good friend of mind has advised me to look into the brute x package offered by PSE and also some of the Hoyt brands. I know that the equipment comes second to accuracy and practice but I was wondering what suggestions you guys may have as far as getting started and what was most helpful to you when you began bowhunting. On a side note I am left handed and was curious of if any of you leftys have any tips or tricks that have helped you along the way, thank you guys for your time!!!
