    Alright here goes.

My name's Ty Miller and I grew up in the small town of Middlebury, IN and have only strayed about 25 minutes West of there now. I am blessed to be married to whom I feel is the most amazing girl in the world and will celebrate our 3rd anniversary this May. I went to college to be an Elementary Education major but lack of available positions took a full time job working for the County Assessors office and still work there.

I was a huge baseball player with tons of potential on the mound till I tore a tendon in my shoulder going into my senior year...crazy story with how that happened but I'll save it to keep this short. I also could be found fishing or hunting if there was a season, oddly enough found on stage acting (shocked myself when I enjoyed it) and spending an immense amount of time with who I thought I was gonna marry (dated from 8th grade till freshman year of college till one day she gave the ring back)....come to think of it if she'd not existed I probably would be even more obsessed with hunting :D

In my spare time, that isn't spent hunting or fishing related, I'm found playing traveling softball (although this year I may step back), gardening or landscaping at the house, drinking a good beer or spending time with the wife. I'm also currently starting a Men's ministry/service organization that will focus on encouraging men to Man Up and do what we're called to do, be the leaders and father figures to others.

As many of you know hunting whitetails is a huge passion of mine, many of you follow or check into my site/blog from time to time that is dedicated to Small Acre Hunting. That has caused me to be in the woods even more than I normally already would have been as I continue to attempt to bring better information for all who stop by.

Bottom line on me is I try to be a man each and every day that can look in the mirror or talk to the Man upstairs and be proud of what I've done at the day's end. I'm not a good man, and I fail daily..but there is nothing that won't stop me from trying to accomplish a day where I can be 100% sure I've done and thought as I should.

I'll now post some pictures which appears to be customary:

My lovely bride and me (when I had a mop head)

Some would say for only ever hunting a small 10-20 acre chunk of woods over the years (last year finally got another property) I've done quite well...

    Miscellaneous montage:

My brother who had he lived my parents were gonna be done having kids (AND I WAS BORN AFTER HE PASSED!)....he is a huge reason I strive to be a good man. He didn't have a chance to live so I choose to try and live right for him. Notice the spot he stood at my wedding...

Hi, my name is Mike and I'm 38. Rizzo was a nickname from college when we had 2 Mike's in our dorm suite of 4. He got the name Twinkie ( ate a case the first couple days) so I think I got the better nickname! Have a few other nicknames in no particular order: nature boy (kind of a skinny dipping issue), Black Magic (Easton baseball bat and owned/raced a triple-black '72 Chevelle for 19 yrs) and Skeeter (can't really explain that one easily on the family-friendly internet ).

Grew up following my Dad chasing the few remaining wild pheasants here in northern IL while carrying a Daisy BB gun until I was finally old enough to legally hunt. I found my passion in chasing whitetail deer beginning around 13 (25 years alrerady!). Bow hunting did not come until the early 2000's when I finally purchased a bow. Now, 95% of my deer hunting is with my bow. Nowadays, I seem to enjoy helping my buddies become more successful harvesting deer than I do. Fishing has always been a close second. I spend a great deal of time on the water inland or on Lake Michigan (I know that is still inland for you sea coast guys!).

My story is simiar to Ty's in that I played baseball and lost a sibling. She would have been my only sibling, but died after a little over a week when I was 2. I played baseball in a couple traveling teams and semi-pro teams until cars and girlz got me off-track! Been happily married since '99 and now have 2 kiddos (4 and 7).

My job is managing physical, occupational and speech therapy in hospital and outpatient settings. As an occupational therapist I also still treat patients as much as I can or my day feels empty. Finally, I am fairly active in church as I recently accepted a position as an elder.

A couple archery deer the last few years. The first (2) were tagged just 1.5 days apart on public land.

My first love. My '72 Chevelle that burned to the ground 6/24/2009.

My Dad (far right) and my buddies. My buddies had never gotten a deer prior to 2011 WI gun season. This pic is from 2012 WI gun season in CWD area of SW WI. All 7 were taken on 43 acres. I never took my gun off of safety as I was holding out on a B & C caliber deer the landowner got trail cam pics of all summer.

My name is Stephen, I go by Skywalker on here. You probably think that's in reference to Star Wars, but in reality it is not. I have a tree stand named Skywalker because of the height and decided to use that for my user name. I'm 34 years old, have a great wife and wonderful 9 year old daughter. I work customer service for an equipment manufacturer, so I have a computer in front of me all day long. Hence why I'm on here most of the time. I didn't start hunting until I was about 22 years old. Started out gun hunting with my wife's family and gravitated towards bowhunting over the last 5 or six year. I live and hunt on 40 acres of my own personal paradise. I'm very much into land management and enjoy planting food plots and improving my property.
I'm probably know for doing everything a little over the top. Oh, and I love to post pictures on BH.com :)

I'm Dave, 37 years old and live in Southen IL. I'm an insurance agent and spend most of my free time with my kids in the outdoors. This time of year is spent shed hunting and preparing for turkey season.

Here's a pic of a great morning hunting with a good friend. I took the bird on the left and the one in the middle, we killed 3 gobblers by 8 am that day.

The buck was my only one this year, taken the last day of the firearm season.

    Sure, why not.

I'm Matt and I'm 28. My wife and I have been married for 3.5yrs (met and dated in high school), no kids or pets yet as we're pretty busy living and enjoying life at the moment.. We live in Northcentral PA where we were both born and raised. She's a Pharmacist and I'm a teacher (going on my sixth year already).

I grew up hunting and fishing not more than 2 miles from where we live now, and I still hunt the same ground where I walked with my dad growing up. We also belong to a hunting cabin that is another 20 minutes north of here with 24 other members on 1200 acres. It's not great hunting, but it's great recreational property.

I tend to follow Caleb's lead, and shoot most of my deer with my rifle, but I've taken a few nice ones along the way.

I also have just started getting into Turkey hunting the last few years as well:

In addition to hunting and fishing (dabble in flyfishing as well), I'm big into fitness, and have been since high school. I don't compete, but I train and workout in one shape or another 5-6 days a week. I love to mountain bike and Kayak, both of which my wife shares the interest along with me so it provides great time spent together.

In all actuality, I contribute very little if anything to this forum, but I do have preferences and tendencies to gravitate toward specific topics.

I have a knack for finding myself turning remodeling projects into bigger remodeling projects that lead into other remodeling projects since buying our home in 2009. Most notably:

    Turning this:

    Into this:

    Turning this:

    Into this:

    Then this:

I also post a lot of what I feel are interesting and well done videos only to annoy Davidmil and John Galt. So, in the spirit of that, here's another:

I'm also fairly competent with technology, so don't post something on here that you don't want to live forever.

I also dabble in still picture making, but nothing like some of the people on here:
